Scientific background

PhD in physics from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin 2013. Thesis on Luminescence of group-III-V nanowires containing heterostructures.

2009-2014 research assistant at the Paul Drude Institute (PDI) for solid-state electronics in Berlin. Analytical Scanning Electron Microscopy (Cathodoluminescence [CL], Electron Beam Induced Current (EBIC), Electron Backscatter Diffraction [EBSD], as well as Energy and Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy [EDX/WDX]) on group-III nitride nanowires and layers.

Diploma in physics at the Freie Universität Berlin 2009.

Diploma thesis on Spectrally resolved current losses in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 thin-film solar cells in conjunction with a one year stay at Université de Nantes and Institut des Materiaux Jean Rouxel Nantes (IMN) 2007/2008.

Studies abroad at the University of Nairobi in Kenia 2004/2005. During this time: research project on Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS).
